The Challenge
In many low-income and rural areas, food insecurity is a daily battle. Families rely on expensive or unreliable food supplies, while the land around them lies underused. Hunger, malnutrition, and dependency thrive—especially when people lack the knowledge, tools, or confidence to grow their own food. Without food security, health suffers. So does dignity.
Our Approach
Our Eco-Garden Project equips families and schools with the knowledge and tools to grow sustainable, climate-smart gardens right in their own backyards, so they can produce fresh vegetables, medicinal plants, and herbs, improving nutrition, cutting costs, and restoring food autonomy. Participants are trained in practical techniques:
- Raised bed gardening
- Companion planting
- Water-wise irrigation
- Turning organic waste into compost Natural pest control methods
